Beans on Toast - a traditional English dish

Ok, the vote is in...

The pictures will stay up and keep on coming.

Although, if I make something icky like beans on toast, I'll just leave the picture taking to this guy instead.

We saw pictures of this way too many times in Spain on the menu at various local restaurants. In some strange universe, this might taste good but personally the thought of it turns my stomach.

I'd try it, but only with the vegetarian beans we get for our hot dog nights.

Patently,

Beans on toast may be in our blood: Your grandfather commonly ate baked bean sandwiches, dressed, of course, mit der ketchup!!

:) I suppose I should embrace my roots and try it out. I tend to have this problem of deciding that I don't like foods before I even try them based on their appearance. I am getting better about it - maybe making some beans on toast will help me get over this quirk.

Anyone want to come over tonight for some beans on toast? :)

Thanks for sparing us the picture of the beans. But, the other pictures are great!

I'm a firm believer in the awesomeness of beans on toast. A tip, though. If you microwave the beans instead of chucking them in a pan on the stove, they're nicer (at least I think so!) They stay whole a bit more, whereas in the pan they start to fall apart a bit :(
